Viele Platten, Maschinen und Menschen haben die Brüder beeinflusst, als sie ihr zweites Album “They Made Us Do It” eingespielt haben. Einige davon werden bei der Release-Party in Berlin dabei sein.

Es wird ein stilvoller Abend voller unterschiedlicher Stile!

Los geht es schon um 22 Uhr - mit einem 3-stündigen Konzert der Transistors Of Mercy, dem einzigartigen analogen Drone-Orchester aus Berlin. Eine 4-köpfige Band, die ihre improvisierte Live-Konzerte auf Sequenzern, Drum-Machines, Filtern, Modularsynthesizern und allerlei modifizierten und selbsgelöteten Schaltkreisen spielt. Jedes Konzert ist einzigartig und nicht nur musikalisch ein Erlebnis. Aus ihrer Maschinen- und Kuriositäten-Sammlung haben sich die Teichmänner während der Aufnahmen gerne bedient.
Auch die Brüder betreten danach selbstverständlich ohne Laptops die Bühne. Mit Mikrophon, Synthesizern, Effekten und Kabeln bewaffnet, werden sie an diesem speziellen Abend neben ihren Maschinen von menschlichen Gästen verstärkt: Benny King und seine berüchtigte “Cycle of Death Effektkette”, der Bariton Alois Späth und Cellist Mathis Mayer sind nicht nur auf dem Album vertreten, werden die Teichmänner live unterstützen.
Und als ob das noch nicht genug wäre, hat sich ein weiterer special-guest angekündigt: Alex Smoke aus Glasgow gibt eines seiner seltenen Gastspiele in der Hauptstadt. Seine Livesets sind epische Symphonien, die sich in Kopf, Herz und Tanzbein bohren. Seine Veröffentlichungen auf dem Glasgower Ur-Technolabel Soma, das unter anderem Leute wie Daft Punk entdeckt hat, sind ebenso outstanding, wie seine Platten für das Berliner Hipster Label Vakant. Nicht zu vergessen eine ganze Reihe von Remixen für Bands wie Depeche Mode oder Minimal Music Ikone Steve Reich.
Die Platten dreht an diesem feierlichen Abend Tijana T aus Belgrad. Sie ist einer der wenigen Lieblings-DJs der Brüder und gemeinsam teilen sie einige tolle Kater-Erlebnisse an den unterschiedlichsten Orten der Welt. Musikalisch umgesetzt wurde das im gemeinsamen Track “Hangover With Me” - eine Perle des neuen Teichmann Albums.

Der 2. Floor gehört ganz und gar CGB-1 und Daniel Meteo. Die beiden kümmern sich um die Roots… Die musikalischen natürlich. Hierbei sei gesagt, das CGB-1´s Riddims zu den trockenesten und minimalsten Rockern gehören, die je auf 7″ gepresst wurden, es steckt aber auch Dub, HipHop, Elektronika und House in den Rillen der beiden Berliner Urgesteine.
CGB-1 ist Teil der WAX TREATMENT Crew und Daniel Meteo steht mit hinter Shitkatapult, dem Label von T.Raumschmiere und Apparat, seinem eigenen Label Meteo Sound und ist Teil des legendären Ocean Clubs.

Since their first album „The Number Of The Beat“ (2007) Gebrüder Teichmann have been exploring new and unknown, as well as already penetrated musical territories. They have been working with their friends – musicians and sound-nerds. They have been listening to the hum and secret messaged of their machines. These experiments set the ground-ton of the new album. The result is a hybrid composed of many citations: beside a compulsory bassdrum there is a room for a dynamic and playful soundbody overcoming classical refe- rencies in favour of new paths.
Mr. Moonraker Johnny Dangerous aka Foremost Poets raises his voice on a Teichmanns- Remix of „My Nenita / Not Asleep“ (originally by Fran Bareth). DJ Tijana T from Belgrade known from her co-operation with Abe Duque, turns more knobs and sings on „Hangover With Me“. A duet from the Philippines Duo Rubber Inc. turns „The Faketory“ into a cosmic Disco-Rave-Western to which the Father of Free-Jazz Uli Teichmann donates an energetic sax-solo – it is worth mentioning that this is the first ever collaboration of father and sons Teichmanns on one record. Composer Leopold Hurt plays arpeggio on „Different Brains“ accompanied by the „The Happy End“ master of chords Benni King with his infamous Circ- le of Death effects. Cellist Mathis Mayr from „Ensemble Mosaik“ and baritone Alois Späth divert „Auf dem Wasser“ into a crossover between Ennio Morricone and Aphex Twin. And above all this Gebrüder Teichmann pour down a magnificent hagel of Sci-Fi, Space-Techno and Disco.
The brothers have again produced their second studio-album strictly following the DIY- code: the limited and hand-stamped vinyl is released with a special artwork through their own label „Festplatten“.
