The Happy End initially released their debut album „Echoes of Jericho“ as a T-Shirt printed with a download-code, which was available at their gigs and on their website thehappyendisnear.com. Now, the album will be launched‚ traditionally‘ on CD by the record label Festplatten, which is marking it‘s own relaunch with this release after a two year hiatus.
With this release Festplatten are broadening their musical scope from their previous exclusive genre of Electro-music releases.
„Polarbear“ is the first single of the upcoming album.
The Happy End combines early 70‘s psychedelia with the non-conformist Punk movement. Brewing up an insane broth of feedback, experimentalelectro and aggressively melancholic vocals. With no breaks, the songs and acoustic-experiments flow into each other, noise and sweet melodies fighting both for survival. To take a breath is to show weakness! And the gigs they have performed to date have left their audience both elated and irritated in equal measures. The album‘s accompanying T-Shirts proclaim „The Happy End is Near“ and suggest you „Destroy your Brilliant Career!“

Housemusic is coming home! oder so ähnlich, könnte man sagen. Tatsächlich hatte der gerade mal 17 Jahre alte Hannes Teichmann seinen ersten Auftritt im grossen Berlin auf Einladung von Dj Clé bei dessem legendären Clé Fc im ersten Suicide Circus Mitte der Neunziger.
Kennengelernt und angefreundet hat man sich vorher beim Club Schimmerlos, dem ersten regelmäßigen Clubabend in Regensburg und so kam es zur Gegeneinladung. Freudig wurde ein Auto mit der Entourage gefüllt und sich über die damals noch sehr hoppelige A9 auf in die Partyhauptstadt gemacht. Seitdem ist natürlich einiges Wasser die Spree und auch die Donau hinuntergelaufen: Clé hat mit Mike Vamp die Märtini Brös gegründet, den ganzen Erdball bereist und uns einige tolle Clubhits geschenkt und auch die umtriebigen Teichmänner hat es mittlerweile nach Berlin verschlagen, wo sie sich sich sehr gut eingelebt haben. Keine Frage, daß wir nun im wiedereröffneten Suicide Circus in die Rückrunde gehen. Wir freuen uns rießig und sind schon schwer gespannt!
